The Bridge

If The Bridge speaks to you about your personal relationship with Jesus Christ,
please take the time to read these Bible verses:

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death,
but the gift of God is eternal
life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hebrews 9:27

Just as man is destined to die once,
and after that to face judgment,

Four Spiritual Laws

the physical universe, so are there spiritual laws
that govern your relationship with God.

Law 1

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.

God's Love
"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16, NIV).

God's Plan
[Christ speaking] "I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly"

Tips on Saving Money

Tips on Saving Money

Going hand and hand with an effective household budget is saving money on those things that you truly need. To start saving, take an inventory of your needs to see where you can shave the dollars. Begin with the biggest items first, where the most potential for savings is, and move down the scale to the less expensive items. A moderate savings on one of the big items (houses and cars) combined with savings on the smaller items (food, clothes, etc.) can reap a large rew...

Things are to be used; People are to be loved

Posted by Zemede on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, In : Educational

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 year old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child’s hand and hit it many times not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father….. with painful eyes he asked,

‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’

The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times...

By Dr Stephen Covey
Contributed by Ayele

Habit 1 - be proactive®

This is the ability to control one's environment, rather than have it control you, as is so often the case. Self determination, choice, and the power to decide response to stimulus, conditions and circumstances

Habit 2 - begin with the end in mind®

This is the habit of personal leadership - leading oneself that is, towards what you consider your aims. By developing the habit of concentrating on relevant activities you will ...

How to survive a heart attack when alone

Posted by Zemede on Saturday, June 19, 2010, In : Health

From Mahesh

Let's say it's 6.15p m and you're going home (alone of course), after an unusually hard day on the job.

You're really tired, upset and frustrated. Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to adiate out into your arm and up into your jaw. You are only about five miles from the hospital nearest your home. Unfortunately you don't know if you'll be able to make it that far. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy that taught the course did not tell you h...

CONFIDENCE IN GOD

Posted by Zemede on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, In : Spritual

By Dr. Ed Young

Do your circumstances ever cause your confidence in God to waver? I think of Joseph, wrongly jailed in Egypt and forgotten by his freed cell mate. Every time he heard the rattle of keys or the creak of a cell door, he must have thought "This is it! They're finally coming for me! The butler has worked out my release at last!" But the days turned to weeks, the weeks to months, and eventually the months became years. It began to look as though he might never be released, but Josep...

The Sands of Forgiveness

Posted by Zemede on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, In : Spritual

By Unknown Author

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face.
The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him.

God is Good

Posted by Zemede on Sunday, June 13, 2010, In : Spritual
God is Good.
You can ask Why?

No explanation needed.
He is Good.

No description is enough.
He is Good.

Our life testifies it.
Still we are alive.
Not only surviving, but also thriving.

It is the grace and mercy of God.

Wow.
We do not deserve it.

Amazing.
Still we are alive.

God is Good.
